The CBSE Class 10 English Communicative exam (Code No. 101) has four sections: Reading (20 marks), Writing (20 marks), Grammar (20 marks), and Literature (20 marks), for a total of 80 marks, with a total weightage of 80% to Summative Assessment (SA) and 20% to Formative Assessment (FA) over two terms. Students will answer all questions, adhering to word limits, and should number their answers correctly on the answer sheet. Key skills assessed include reading comprehension, various writing tasks (like letters, notices, and paragraphs), grammar rules (tenses, modals, sentence reordering), and literary analysis of prose and poetry.
